Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig, September 21 1982. Maggie Grace is an American Actress best known as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. Maggie Grace, originally from Worthington located in Ohio dropped out high school and moved in Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. However, in 2001, despite finances, she was able to secure her first big performance in the video online series Rachel's Room in the role of Rachel's Room's principal character. In 2002 she was nominated for a Young Artist Award with her part as the 15-year-old murder victim Martha Moxley. In 2004, Grace was cast as Shannon Rutherford in the television show Lost where she acted as a principal cast member for the first two seasons, and was awarded an award called the Screen Actors Guild Award shared with the cast of the ensemble. The show ended in 2005 and Grace was keen to work as a film actress, and had played opposite Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005. The actress has also appeared in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and in 2007 as well as in Taken with Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. In 2008, she played the same role on Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both 2012). Grace played Shannon's part on Lost for two episodes, which included the series final. She appeared in 2013's six-season of Californication. She portrays Faith who's an avid stargazer as well as a groupie. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. As a member of the Gyllenhaal family She is the daughter of filmmakers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs as well as the elder sibling of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. Her first appearances were in the films of her father in his adolescent years. Together with her brother she also appeared in Donnie Darko (2000). Then she appeared as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal's lead roles in Secretary, an erotico-romantic comedy, as well as Sherrybaby (a film) received her nominations for Golden Globe Award. In 2006, she had a number of commercially successful movies including World Trade Center. However, it was her role as Rachel Dawes that brought her greater attention for her performance in The Dark Knight (2008).
